NOTE: For GPRS access to the Internet via BluetoothTM, the drivers and software for the computer's BluetoothTM adapter should be all that is required.
TIP: To load the Ericsson IR modem drivers onto a Windows PC, run the install program for the Ericsson Communications Suit Software. Then simply enable the IrDA port on both devices, and let PnP install the correct Windows modem driver. (If this instead installs a Standard Modem, see below.)
Notes
To change the Driver Signing settings in Windows XP: right click on My Computer and select Properties; in the window that opens, select the Hardware tab; then select the Driver Signing button.
"Installation of modems will give warning on WinXP and Win2000. Ignore the warning, the modem drivers are fully tested. Digital signatures for these modems are not possible to get as of today."

The Uninstall for XTNDConnect PC is separate from the Uninstall for the rest of the Sony Ericsson Communication Suit; while uninstalling both will still leave the Ericsson modem drivers installed as available Windows device drivers.
"To use the IR modem on windows XP/2000, you have to update the standard modem installed by default [to] instead install the correct IR modem.
