Refurbished Used Monitors

Due to high shipping costs, and the way that monitors can be damaged during shipping, these are available for local pick-up only. For details please see my Terms of Sale page. For my phone number, maps to this area of Toronto, etc., please see the Site Homepage.

For each of these monitors, I utilize a critical description to try and provide a full discloser of exactly what I am selling; while the pricing is set to provide good value for what the monitor does offer to a buyer.

17 inch Monitors

ViewSonic E771  . . . . . . . . . $25.00
[Product Information]   item # 200406-002
This monitor was dropped a short distance, resulting in a crack at the top left corner of the front casing. The case crack was carefully repaired, by using significant epoxy putty inside the case, and only a small amount of epoxy sealing the crack on the outside. If you look closely, there is also some slight distortion to the square-ness of the video area. Otherwise the video is excellent, and shows why ViewSonic monitors do well at retaining their value over time. This unit also includes a ViewSonic adapter for hooking a PC monitor to a Mac computer.

ViewSonic 17EA Multimedia Monitor  . . . . . . . . . $50.00
[Product Information]   item # 200408-007
This monitor has excellent video, and also provides a small pair of amplified speakers. But unfortunately it was constantly used by a smoker, so the case has been discolored. There are also a few marks-- including one small cigarette burn on the top left corner-- that I can't do much about. For the audio, there are two separate pairs of RCA input jacks at the back, plus a headphone jack and volume control buttons on the front. So this is a full-featured monitor that works perfectly, but the case is definitely a cosmetic second. (NOTE: On the back of this monitor, what looks like an s-video connector apparently isn't.)

radius PrecisionView 17  . . . . . . . . . $25.00
[Photo]   item # 200402-003
A flat-screen Trinitron monitor that is in good condition-- with only some very minor case damage, and some slight distortion to the square-ness of the video area. This unit does need a few seconds to warm up, before the video is visible at full brightness. And the reliability of this monitor has been enhanced by re-soldered the main circuit board-- which should help to eliminate a major cause of monitor failure.

MegaImage H17DP  . . . . . . . . . $10.00
[Photo]   item # 200405-004
There is some distortion to the square-ness of the video area of this monitor. Otherwise the video is excellent, and there is no case damage beyond a few small scratches and marks. All of the circuit boards inside this unit were re-soldered, which should greatly enhance the reliability of this monitor, by eliminating a major cause of monitor failure.

Compaq V70 (model 620)  . . . . . . . . . $10.00
[Photo]   [User Manual]   item # 200403-010
This monitor has some minor but unusual front case marking. (My guess is it was put face down on top of a small screw, then moved around a bit.) There is also some yellowing of the case (due to sitting in sunlight?). But this unit does have good video, with no noticeable problems in that respect.

19 inch Monitors

SCEPTRE D98A "Dragon Eye" Monitor  . . . . . . . . . $100.00
[Photo]   [Datasheet]   item # 200402-005
A current Plug 'n Play monitor, that is in excellent condition, and has only seen occational use. If arranged in advance, this one can come with the original box.

20 inch Monitors

radius PrecisionColor Display 20 (Model GDM-1971)  . . . . . . . . . $50.00
[Front & Back Photos]   item # 200405-003
A premium Trinitron monitor that is in excellent shape for used equipment. If you look very closely, there is some slight distortion to the square-ness of the video area-- including a bit of color mis-alignment, that is only noticeable in the very top right corner of the screen. Otherwise the video is excellent, and there is no case damage beyond a few faint marks.

21 inch Monitors

ViewSonic P810  . . . . . . . . . $75.00
[Photo]   [Datasheet]   item # 200408-001
There is some slight distortion to the square-ness of the video area of this monitor. (On the top third of the screen, horizontal lines are not perfectly straight.) And when the video background is set to a solid color, a faint Moire pattern is sometimes visible. Otherwise the video is excellent, and there is no case damage beyond a few small scratches and marks. Also, the second video port (which requires a 5 BNC cable that is not included) permits this monitor to easily switch between viewing two separate computer systems.

ADI MicroScan 6G (model 931G)  . . . . . . . . . $25.00
[Photo]   [Datasheet]   item # 200406-005
This is an older style monitor that uses a long picture tube, so it needs a little extra desk space. There is some distortion to the square-ness of the video area; and there are two extremely small black dots in the video area. (Those black dots are like having two dead pixels on a large 1600x1200 LCD display.) The case on this monitor also has a drop down front control panel that no longer stays in the up position. (A worn out case latch.) Otherwise the video is in very good condition, and there is no damage to the case beyond a few marks and scratches.
